Victorian period chair

Traditionally restored Victorian period chair,with stitched fibre pads in the seat and back. Finished with double piping.

Courtney Chair

Courtney chair upholstered in Warwick fabric – Seafoam.

Dining chairs

Traditional restored set of 4 dining chairs. The photos show some of the stitching in the hessian that is done to create the correct shapes in the stuffed coconut fibre. This pad is nice and firm and will last for many years.

Victorian period Chair

Victorian chair completely restored. Entire frame re-glued as shown in photos. Recovered in Warwick fabric. Finished with Double piping.

French reading chair

Fully restored french reading chair. A pleasure to work on such a quality chair. Horse hair was used for all the padding in the seat, back and arms. The photos show the various steps involved in sticthing the seat pad to create the correct shapes. As you can see in the final photo all antique chairs are covered in thin white calico before the final fabric is used.

Grandfather Chair

Antique Grandfather chair recovered in Warwick Velvet – Mystere – Peacock.

To finish around the wood we have used double piping made out of the velvet.

The photos of the seat just shows some of the process involved in stitching the coconut fibre pad to create the correct shape.

Traditionally restored French chair

Traditionally restored French chair. Hand stitched seat with fibre pad. All traditional chairs recovered at St Morris are first covered in in a thin calico to ensure a quality finish. Covered in Toile Fabric and finished with double piping from Houles
